How is it done?

The actual stats are taken from official WP.org data; for every plugin we find the year’s download peak and estimate the user base counting downloads close to that date.

Of course, numbers are little lower than expected for each plugin, because only the most active user base (people updating plugins regularly in a few days) is considered.

    I think this is a great list you have! I don’t really know much about any of those except for google and WordPress. I find those two very help full and I use them quit often. After seeing this list, I think I might look into more of the unknown ones for my own benefit. So thank you!

    Oh my goodness I don’t know what I’d do without Vaultpress. I had a scare a little while back when my blog went down and I thought I got hacked and was so scared I was going to lose everything. After that, I was happy to pay the $5 a month so I could rest easy at night. I haven’t tried Optin Monster yet, but have heard such great things about it and plan on purchasing it in a month or so. What a great list.
